We had an awesome Polar Bear Splash on January 1, 2017!  Thank you to all who came out and brought chili, ate chili and took the plunge with us.  We had over 100 Redfish and Non Redfish friends join us.

 It was a "chilly" 78 degrees with a pool temp of 60. A bit different than the past 2 years at 36 degrees!

We had 9 Chili's for our Chili Cook-Off (the most yet). Thank you to our Chili cookers Diana Didier Tripp, Adele Deelman, Kenny Drake, Loredana Mihai Morosanu, Lori Golden Reuter, Jennifer Carmichael, Kristine Mitchell Massey, Courtney Powell and Paul Gier. They were all delicious!!

Our winners were:
1st Place - Diana Didier Tripp 

2nd Place - Kenny Drake

3rd Place (tie) - Adele Deelman and Loredana Mihai Morosanu

We had a huge group take the plunge at 3:20pm (although kids were swimming starting at 2pm due to the gorgeous day). Elijah Reuter swam a 100! Way to go Eli!

The kids loved the Hot Cocoa, even thought it was so warm out. The coffee was mostly untouched and we ran out of bottled water.

The 2017 Polar Bear Splash shirt is awesome! Great job Jennifer Milam Gluff on the new merchandise (beanies, trucker hats and polar bear shirts were a hit!). Thank you to Adele Deelman for stepping in for Jen and manning the merchandise table.

A big Thank You to our Leadership Committee for putting together the best Polar Bear Splash yet (Diana Didier Tripp, Seth Briggs, Leslie Woerner Drake, Philip Carmichael, Julie Erway, Jennifer Gluff, and Lori Golden Reuter) and for all of the help from our Redfish families in serving chili and helping us to clean up after.

We definitely started the 2017 off with a SPLASH! Next up - Returning Family Registration in February.

We can't wait for our 5th Redfish Season to begin!!
