Happy Friday, Redfish!  

Tomorrow we are swimming at the Twisters' pool in the Twin Creeks neighborhood. The address is 3201 Twin Creeks Club Drive, Cedar Park, TX 78613, and directions are in the Meet Book.

• Pay close attention to the parking instructions in the Meet Book.  Cars may be towed if they are parked in the wrong areas.
• AM Shift Volunteers, please ensure your PM replacement has arrived before taking off after your shift. You aren’t stuck if people don’t show up, but we need to know how many are missing so we can get floaters.
• Download the Swimtopia app if you haven’t already and log-in with your Avery Ranch Redfish username and password. Using the app will keep you from needing to print out the whole Heat Sheet.

TENT SPIRIT: The 15Up group will have the Tent Spirit Award on display tomorrow.  Because the Champs meet is divided by age group over two days, this week TWO groups can potentially win the Tent Spirit Award!!  A group from our 10 and unders will get to display the trophy at the Saturday session, and an 11 and up group can win it to take to the Sunday session!

LAP-A-THON:  We hope you are getting excited for Lap-A-Thon.  It will be a fun family event.  There will be food, fun, and prizes for all of our swimmers!  The LAT information sheet and pledge sheets are attached. 

• Monday, June 20, 2022
• Swimmers may attempt their laps anytime during their age group window. However, laps must be completed continuously. Swimmers may not get out and come back later to complete additional laps.
• We are asking that parents stay during their swimmers laps and lend a hand by counting a few laps!  Don't worry, it's super easy, and we will provide everything you need. 
• Participation in Lap-A-Thon counts as one of the two required practices for the week.
• Age Group Times
  • 5:00-6:30 ~ 8 & Under
  • 5:30-7:00 ~ 9/10
  • 6:30-8:30 ~ 11/12
  • 6:45-9:00 ~ 13 & Up

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP:  

• Senior scholarship applications are due to Steve Powell, [email protected], by Saturday, July 2nd.
• We are still in need of one volunteer for the Scholarship Review Committee (SRC).  Ideally SRC members would be parents with young children who are less familiar with our older swimmers. This committee is not a big time commitment. Please see the attached scholarship application for more information on what the review process entails. COVID:  We are seeing a rise in COVID cases throughout the community and within the team. If someone in your household tests positive for COVID, please follow recommended isolation procedures.
